The fourth tape Bundy made for Michaud and Aynesworth
On the fourth tape he made for Michaud and Aynesworth, dated Feb. 2nd, 1980, Ted Bundy can be heard criticizing Mike Fisher’s investigation of the Caryn Campbell case:

So on this tape uploaded on my archive.org channel you’ll hear Ted’s general feelings about Fisher. Him trying to give his impressions of Fisher based upon his contacts with Fisher.
Ted mentions the embarrassment suffered by the prosecution at the preliminary hearing in Colorado, before judge Lohr, as a result of Fisher’s vague investigations, and also Fisher’s handling of Elizabeth Harter, who failed to identify Ted in the courtroom (and in fact identified the under-sheriff who had accompanied Ted from Utah to Aspen just a few weeks before).
Ted is also heard referring to some rumors concerning Fisher’s conduct in the various agencies that had employed him.
Ted talks about how it became clear to him that Fisher had a personal interest in the Campbell case. Ted always got the feeling that despite Fisher’s rather laidback manner, his rather non-law enforcement demeanor, he was deeply, deeply devoted and dedicated to obtaining a conviction of Ted in the Campbell case.
Ted referring to Fisher: “I believe he was present... a peeping-tom policeman... No I believe he was present at the autopsy of Caryn Campbell, although I can’t say for sure... I wish I’d known if he was present at the scene shortly after her body was discovered... I know that he examined a number of items in evidence or trace materials... One time a vehicle rented by a friend of Campbell’s fiancé was examined for dirt and other debris, which may have indicated whether Campbell was in contact with that vehicle. I know for instance that he tried to track down a number of suspects other than myself, and this would be reflected in the reports that you’ll find”.
And Ted seemed to be concerned with the things Fisher was doing during the period of time before he became a suspect in the Campbell case: “I know that he took a hair sample, sat in my car...”
Ted is also heard saying that he knows that Fisher traced down his credit cards and came up with a credit card that he believed placed Ted in Glenwood Springs, Colorado on the day when Caryn Campbell was last seen [according to media reports that I’ve read, police had discovered that Ted used a credit card on Jan. 12, 1975, in Aspen, the day Caryn Campbell disappeared from her hotel room].
I think that hearing Ted himself talk about his experience with the field of police investigations in Colorado is interesting.
